ABOUT:
The Mid South Jr Bass Club is a youth oriented competitive bass
tournament series. The pick your partner format requires that
each team consist of one adult 18 years of age or older and one
or two youth between the ages of 6 and 18. Each tournament features
3 age divisions with its own 1st/2nd/3rd awards for each. Youth
ages 6 to 14 Youth ages 15 to 18 and Adults. In each of the youth
divisions the competitors are fishing for a 5 bass limit. In the
adult division boat captians are fishing for a one bass limit
and an optional $25 bass pot. During competitions the adults and
youth cannot share fish. Each MSJBC competitor may only weigh
fish he or she cast for and caught, although the adult can help
net a youth partner's fish. Founded in 2005 by Chris Morlok, the
Mid South Jr Bass Club has steadily grown to become the largest
non-money based fishing club of any kind in the Mid South, boasting
a 22 boat average through the first 4 events of 2010. |
